A 16-year-old Centralia juvenile was injured when the car he was driving hydroplaned off the Green Street Road during heavy rain, rolled several times, and came to rest on its top after hitting a tree.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the juvenile was trapped in the vehicle following the crash and had to be extricated by the Centralia Fire Protection District. The wreck occurred near Dunbar Lane east of Central City.
The juvenile was then taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries. No one else was in the vehicle.
The crash was reported at 12:43 Saturday afternoon during heavy rain.
