The prep softball season came to an end as the large school’s finished up their respective state tournaments.
At the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria, Highland won the 3a state softball title beating Lemont 1-0. This was after the Lady Bulldogs won their opener over Sterling 8-1.
Sterling over Ridgewood in the 3rd place game 5-3.
In Class 4a, Chicago Marist beat Lincoln-Way Central 3-0while Huntley took down Minooka in the 3rd place game 4-3.
