IGA Hands Rotary Their First Loss….Security Alarm Wins Tight One

It was an exciting night at the Little League Complex.  In Boys Major’s, IGA knocked off previously unbeaten Rotary 8-7.  Titus Thompson worked the first four innings striking out 12 in the win.  Brant Thompson earned the save with 2 innings pitched allowing 2 hits.  Zane Dodson hit a 3 run home run on a 2 out rally to take the lead for IGA in the bottom of the fifth.  Kurt Sullens made a great catch in left field and fired the ball to Drake Rector at first base to double off a player for a double play in the final inning.  Landon Tennyson made a great play up the middle at shortstop to seal the deal.  For Rotary, Jaret Gibson threw 5.2 innings.  Malaki Johnston went 3-3, Kam Arnold had a line drive single with Max Vincent adding 2 hits and Madden Thompson an RBI double.

In boys minors, Security Alarm nipped Kert Martin State Farm 2-1.  Jared Crompton singled in the win, Wyatt Eagen went 2-2 and on the mound Crompton struck out 13 out of the 15 batters.  In the loss, Colton Tockstein singled and Jayce Keller added a double.
