The Salem 10u competed hard, but came up short as they went 1-2 over the weekend in tournament play. They opened with a good 13-3 win over the SC Storm Chasers. Bentley Bryan drove in 3 runs for Salem with Kai Graham and Tripp Garden adding 2 each. Rhett Starnes also drove in a run. Bryan homered and tripled in the game. Graden added a triple with doubles from Zane Applegate and Jax Schaubert.
Salem then finished Saturday running into a very good Robinson team falling 16-5. Applegate, Jayce Keller and Starnes drove in the Salem runs.
Salem then had to come back on Sunday to play Robinson again and this time a much better effort had them falling 5-3. Salem scored 3 runs in their final 2 at-bats but their comeback came up short. Jared Crompton drove in a run along with Applegate and Owen Tennyson.
