Salem Welcomes 2a Track Sectionals On Thursday

Salem hosted the 2a track and field sectional yesterday.  Mascoutah won the event dominating with 120 points followed by Cahokia with 67 and Marion 64.5.

Finishing top 10were Aliyah Sanders of Centralia 5^th in the 200m and 4^th in the 400.  Salem’s Ivy Donoho was 9^th in the 800, Centralia’s Haley Johnson 9^th in the 100m hurdles and 6^th in the 300m hurdles.  The Centralia 4×100 relay team of Kylie Gormann, Kalei Edson, Blaike Knolhoff and Sanders were 4^th with the team of Knolhoff, Gormann, Edson and Azlynn keller 4^th in the 4×200.  Salem’s Molly Walker was 8^th in the shot and 12^th in the discus.  Teammate Miranda Podergois was 10^th in the discus and Grace Alli 9^th in the high jump.  Centralia’s Gormann won the triple jump and was 2^nd in the long jump with teammate Knolhoff 6^th in the triple jump
