In regular season play, the SC Lady Cougars improved to 21-4 with their 8-2 win over Newton. Sydnee Garrett was the winning pitcher. At the plate, Halle Smith had 2 hits and an RBI, Garrett doubled home a run, Laney Webster had 2 hits including a double and drove in a run. Lilly Malone and Geiler also drove in runs for SC. The Lady Cougars will open up Regional play at home Thursday afternoon against Wednesday’s winner of Odin v. St Elmo.
