The Salem Wildcats swept a pair of games over the weekend against West Frankfort winning the opener 6-1. Eli Rose went 2-3 with 3 RBI to lead the offense. Quentin Purcell and Hunter Daniels added RBI. Trent Boles was the winning pitcher going all five innings allowing 2 hits and struck out 7.
Salem won the 2nd game 8-2. Rose and Daniels drove in a pair each along with Isaak Williams. Rolen Adams added an RBI. Griffin Day was the winning pitcher going the distance allowing just 2 hits and struck out 3.
