A 36-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to six years in prison when pleading guilty to separate meth delivery and possession of methamphetamine charges. Ryan Moghadam of East Boone Street will serve the time concurrently and will receive credit for 94 days already served in the Marion County Jail.
Moghadam was first arrested in August 2025 during a traffic stop by Salem Police in which he was one of three passengers. He was charged with a Class X charge of possession with intent to deliver meth as well as possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth. The Class X charge was dropped as part of the plea.
Moghadam was arrested again in July of this year on a warrant for meth delivery under five grams and meth delivery of five to 15 grams. The delivery of five to 15 grams was dropped as part of the plea. At that time, his pre-trial release on the first arrest was revoked and he was ordered held without bond in the Marion County Jail.
