A 17-year-old Highland juvenile male declined hospital treatment following a Friday night crash on the Route 161 Extension at the Klomp Road intersection in rural Iuka.
Initial information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicates the juvenile swerved to miss a deer on the roadway, with his van rolling into the roadside ditch.
United Medical Response checked him for injuries on scene. The Iuka Fire Department also responded.
The crash occurred at 10:26 Friday night.
