Centralia Police arrested 46-year-old Shaun Brown of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in Centralia for possession of meth, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and resisting arrest. Officers took him to the Marion County Jail to await further court action.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 37-year-old Damesha Martin of North Lincoln in Centralia on a Perry County traffic warrant. Martin was being held awaiting transfer to the Perry County Jail at Pinckneyville.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 21-year-old Tristan Nix of Maplewood Avenue in Salem for criminal trespass to a residence. Nix reportedly entered a relative’s home where he had earlier been trespassed. He was released on a notice to appear in court.
Salem Firemen were called to a brush and fence fire Friday near the Nation and Miles Lane intersection southwest of Salem on Friday. About 100 feet of fence burned in the fire, which spread from a rubbish fire in a trash pit.
