The Franklin Park Bobcats baseball team is at home against Wesclin coming off an 11-3 win over Breese. Nolan Krutsinger had 2 hits including a double, scored 3 runs, drove in 2 and stole 4 bases. Easton Keller had 2 hits with a triple, scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Ethan Parrett had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Weston Crouse added an RBI single, Grayson Purintun singled and scored and Nash Mulvany singled. Crouse earned the win on the mound going 3.1 allowing 3 hits and 2 earend runs. Salem is 7-5-and-1 on the year.
South Central saw most of their 9 run lead evaporate, but they held off Brownstown/St Elmo 11-9. Luke Guerrettaz led SC with 4 RBI. Ryker Lane had 2 hits. Kash Hall, Tanner Sporleder, Jack Barry and Jayden Gullion added RBI. Hall was the winning pitcher allowing 2 hits and no earned runs over 3 innings. Guerrettaz pitched 4 innings of relief.
Nolan Eddy drove in 4 runs on 3 hits including a triple and double with 4 RBI. Brody Spicer also had 3 hits. Noah Cain was the winning pitcher as he went 4 innings of relief and struck out 8 giving up no runs and just 1 hit.
Rome got a go ahead RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to beat Selmaville 8-7. Jacob Butts and Lucas Howe had 2 hits each for the Rockets. Liam Ryan pitched 3 innings of relief for Selmaville for starter Isaac Knapp. Ryan and Butts each drove in two runs in the loss.
Zachariah Jones went 3-4 leading Iuka over Field 11-5. His day included 2 doubles. Hosea Weems drove in 2 runs and Elijah Meyers added 3 RBI for the Pirates. Jones was also the winning pitcher giving up one hit and 2 earned runs with 8 strikeouts.
