This year’s Patoka Fall Festival celebrates 250 years of American independence. The festival opens on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with the carnival and food vendors in the park and Bingo at the Large Pavilion. Bump and Run begins at the arena at 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the downtown parade begins at 11:00 a.m. This year’s parade theme is “America: 250 Years of Freedom.” All military veterans will be this year’s parade Grand Marshal. Following the parade, Lunch will be held at the large pavilion from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. serving Niemerg’s fried chicken dinner. A pie stand will be open at the Patoka Library. The carnival opens at 1:00 on Saturday, with Bingo and Cake Walk at 2:00 at the large and small pavilions. The Demo Derby will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the arena.
On Sunday, a community church service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Patoka Pentecostal Church. A Ministerial Alliance offering will be taken.
Four-hour carnival armbands are $20 each, and will be sold for Friday from 5-9 p.m., Saturday from 1-4 p.m., and Saturday from 5-9 p.m. There will be no carnival rides from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission to the Bump and Run is $5 at the front gate, with kids 5 and under entering free. Pit admission is $20 for drivers, $15 for early registration, and $20 for pit pass.
Demo Derby admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-10, and free for kids 5 and under. Pit admission is $40 for drivers, $25 for passengers, and $20 for pit pass.
