The Cougars scored six runs to break the game open in the 3rd with 6 more in the sixth. They outhit the Indians 15-6. Chase Dodson homered as part of his 2-for-3 day. SC got 2 RBI each from Chase Thompson, Sebastian Cowger, Aidan Dodson and Andrew Magnus.
On the mound, Spencer Johannes worked the first 3 innings in the win allowing 3 hits while Brandt Hiestand finished up the last 3 innings allowing 3 hits with 5 strikeouts.
The Cougars are now 3 wins shy of 1000 for the program and coach Curt Jones sits the same 3 wins shy of 800 for his career.
