Georgiann Fulton, age 82, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Voyage Senior Living in Marion. She was born on February 3, 1944, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Wilbur and Dorothea (Wilts) Johnson.
On March 27, 1965, Georgiann married Charles Dwight Fulton in Hoyleton, Illinois. They shared many years of marriage until his passing. Together they built a life centered around faith, family, and farming.
A devoted farm wife throughout her life, Georgiann found joy in the simple pleasures of country living. She loved mowing, working around the farm, tending to her flowers, taking her dogs for rides, and was a faithful member of Young’s Chapel Christian Church. She was also well known for her many years of involvement with the Marion County Fair, where she formed countless friendships and made lasting memories.
She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Fulton and wife, Angela, of Haysville, Kansas, and Timothy Fulton and wife, Stephanie, of Marion; grandchildren, Kyle Fulton, Jacob Fulton and wife, Serena, and Christopher Fulton; step-grandchildren, Morgan Conner and husband, Zane and Maci Metten and fiancé Braeden Pursell; step-great-grandchildren, Blair Conner, Bennett Conner, and Monroe Pursell; brothers-in-law, Richard Hargis of Centralia and Bill Fulton and wife, Connie, of Kell; sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson of Centralia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Dorothea Johnson; her beloved husband, Charles Dwight Fulton; and her siblings, Harold Johnson, Jeanette Heser, and Beverly Hargis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, with Rusty Courson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Centralia. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the funeral home.
