Kinsley Ann Pate, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and light in the lives of all who knew her, was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, on a blessed Sunday, February 26, 2023, the daughter of Mathias Pate and Ashton Hutton. With deep sorrow, her family shares that she passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the tender age of three.

Kinsley’s radiant spirit and boundless energy were apparent to everyone she encountered. She was a wild spirit, fierce and outgoing, who lived her life with uncontainable joy and curiosity. Her love for the outdoors was unmatched; she delighted in fishing, golfing, swimming, and boating. Kinsley shared precious moments riding in her dad’s truck with a smile as wide as the open road. Indoors, she dearly enjoyed getting her hair fixed, her nails painted, and striking poses for countless pictures, capturing her zestful essence.

Kinsley’s memory will forever be cherished by her parents: Mathias Pate and Ashton Hutton; her adored siblings, sister: Paisley Pate and brother: Braxton Pate; and her loving grandparents: Chrisellen Knutt, Matthew Pate, Ronnie and Marleah Hutton, Todd and Ashley Campbell, and Amanda Alcorn. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Isaiah Pate, Brenae Pate, Zeke Knutt, Zachariah Knutt, Aniyah Knutt, Destiny Hutton, Mason Hutton, Ayden Campbell, Carsyn Campbell, Caleb Campbell, Corbyn Campbell, Derek Teitsort, and David Teitsort; all of whom were touched by her vibrant and adventurous spirit.

Kinsley was welcomed into the heavenly embrace by her great-grandmother: Freda, her great-grandpa: Shorty Nunnery, great-aunt: Ashley Teitsort, and her cousin: Brittany Bailey, who preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on the same day, starting at 11:00 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home. Kinsley will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. In honor of Kinsley’s memory and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family. These will be gratefully accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801. The family deeply appreciates the exceptional care and compassion extended by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home during this difficult time. Her family takes solace in the messages and memories shared by others, as they reflect on the joy Kinsley brought in her too-short years.

Although Kinsley’s light departed this world far too soon, the warmth of her love and the echo of her joyful laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
