In Little League Majors action at the Complex, Americana beat Lions 16-13. Americana in first inning Walker Crank singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Lions scored 4 in the fourth. The big inning for Lions came thanks to singles by Evan Barnes, Logan Butts, Damon Jennings and Huck Mulvaney. Keytin Grawe led things off on the hill for Americana. He lasted 3.2 allowing 5 hits and 10 runs while striking out 9. Jennings started for Lions. He went 3.2 striking out 6 with Huck Mulvaney throwing 2.1 innings of relief. Americana hit 2 home runs on th day. Trey Clark had an inside the park homer and Silas Lux had a long ball in the opening inning. Americana saw the ball well racking up 20 hits. Jaxon Ward, Grawe, Clark, Crank and Avery East all had multiple hits. Grawe and Ward had 4 hits each to lead Americana.
Rotary Reds beat IGA 20-2 on 20 hits. Landon Maxey was the winning pitcher with 6 ks and no walks. Zane Dodson hit a long home run for IGA early in the game. For the Reds, Brendan Smith had 4 hits, Maxey 2 hits with 2 doubles, Kyler King had 4 hits with a double and triple, Jaret Gibson had 3 hits with a double and triple, Max Vincent had 3 hits with a double, Riley Tate had 2 hits with a double, Madden Thompson had 2 hits with a double, Scout Puricelli had 2 hits.
In Minors, Elks was victorious 7-5 over Squibb Tank. Rhett Starnes doubled in the opening inning with Isaac Beatty singling. He also had 8 strikeouts on the mound in 3 innings. Kellen Nix struck out 3 to close out the game with the save. Barnabas Hahs also had a single in the win.
Kert Martin State Farm defeated Edward Jones 4-1. Colten Tockstein threw 2 innings to get the win. Matthew Carter also added a scoreless inning and Jayce Keller threw 2 more scoreless. Ben Skibinski, Tockstein, Keller, Dayton Mitchell and Brendan Kleiboeker all had hits in the win.
