Thelma L. Thompson, age 97, of Salem, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem.
She was born on August 25, 1928, in Marion, Illinois, the daughter of Audie and Cora (Graves) Campbell.
On July 3, 1954, she married Elyle Thompson in Rock Island, Illinois and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Hendrick and husband Jack of Salem; her grandchildren, Aimee Nix and husband Terry, and Joanna Spradlin and husband Dan; her great-grandchildren, Seth Nix and wife Lexi, Lance Nix, Evan Spradlin, Micah Spradlin and fiancé Brooke, and Erika Spradlin; and great-great grandson, Bennett Nix.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Audie and Cora Campbell; her husband, Elyle Thompson; and siblings, Clyde Campbell, Pearl Porter, Opal Tepovich, Helen Jones, Maxine Morgan, and Jim Campbell.
