A semi truck apparently lost control while traveling northbound on I-57 at mile marker 112 four miles south of Salem Sunday afternoon.
Initial information indicates the driver went across the medium and northbound lanes before exiting the westside of the interstate into a field before coming to a stop near a tree line.
The driver was not injured.
State Police are handling the crash. Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Salem Fire Protection District were also on the scene to assist. The crash was reported at 1:43 Sunday afternoon.
