The Salem Wildcats 13u were the #2 seed heading into Bracket Play at the Oasis Sports Complex in Marion on Sunday after opening the tournament 2-0.
They came back to beat the Cincy Stix 7-6. Isaac Knapp had a leadoff home run with 2 hits and 2 runs. Kaden Williams had a RBI double and Nolan Krutsinger singled and scored twice. Salem also got RBI from Maddox Lograsso, Jacob Butts and Ethan Parrett. Weston Crouse drove in 2. Butts earned the win in relief as Brantley Brumfield got the start and Crouse also worked 2.2 innings.
Salem fell in the semifinals to the Thrillbillies 7-4. Knapp had an RBI single, Brumfield doubled and Krutsinger and Zach Jones also had hits.
Salem is 19-8 and will play in the Sesser Tournament this weekend.
