Aden Susmena made a huge defensive play in the 3rd as he made a sliding grab and threw out a runner at 1st base that would have scored a pair for the Eagles if it got through.  He followed it up in the bottom of the inning with a single and run scored to give Salem an early 1-0 lead.  The winning pitcher was Brighton Lucas going the first 3 innings allowing 0 hits and 0 runs with 3 strikeouts.  Griffin Day, Trent Boles and Carter Rose also worked on the mound.  Drew Belcher was really good for Odin/Patoka.  He worked 6 innings scattering 7 hits and allowed just 1 earned run with 9 strikeouts.

South Central fell to Teutopolis 5-4 giving up 2 runs in the top of the 7th.  Beau Jolliff homered and drove in a pair in the loss.  Chase Thompson and Chase Dodson each drove in runs.  On the mound, Aiden Dodson worked the first 6 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run.  The Cougars were let down by their defense who committed 5 errors and allowed 3 unearned runs.  SC falls to 7-2 on the season.  The Cougars will host Webber today.
