The Salem City Council Monday night will swear in new Deputy Police Chief Ian King.

Two TIF agreements will come before the city council. One is a new agreement with H and H Property Holdings to renovate a building owned by Glen Henderson in the Salem Industrial Park. The second will amend the agreement with Conant Development to allow for additional TIF 4 funding to be released for construction of more apartment buildings on Airport Road.

The council will be asked to pass an IDOT Supplemental Resolution to pay for a portion of the upcoming resurfacing a portion of West Whitaker Street in the Westgate Shopping area.

The council will be asked to approve a $20,387 bid from Built-More to replace the roof on the Gas Plant Shed.

The council will receive a presentation by Birth to Five Illinois. An executive session is planned to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, setting the price of property for sale or lease, security procedures, and litigation. After the closed meeting the council is expected to return to open session and take action to confirm the termination of an employee with cause.

The meeting begins at six Monday night at Salem City Hall.
