Rushing, Samples & Ashford Qualify For State Tennis

Salem’s Jarrett Rushing won the Carbondale Tennis Sectional this weekend beating top-seed Kai Manzano of Carbondale in the finals. Rushing improves to 26-2 on the season.
The Orphans doubles team of Reed Ashford and Ethan Samples are also sectional champs after beating Herrin’s Tyler Dodson and Jonah Garlick in the finals.
They will compete this weekend at the IHSA State Tournament.
