Panthers Late Run Beats Centralia

The Centralia Orphans get their final post-season tune up today when they travel to Effingham.  Yesterday a late comeback from Pinckneyville gave the Panthers a 4-3 win.  JJ Higgerson had the big hit, an RBI single in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie.  Gabe Houser drove in 2 runs going 1-4, Will Stanton had a pair of hits.  Valon Williams took the loss.


SV Falls To Marroons

Garret Shumate went 2-3 and Hudson Moore and Aiden Hoover drove in runs, but it wasn’t enough as SC lost to Dieterich 6-2.  SC will open up regional play Monday against CHBC.


Rams Fall To State Ranked Freeburg

The Mt Vernon Rams came up short to state ranked Freeburg falling 6-3.  The Rams trailed 4-0 in the fourth when Bronx Hefner blasted a 3-run homer to cut the deficit to 4-3.   Ty Pierce took the loss allowing 6 runs on 6 hits in 3 innings.  Cale Maurer went 2-3 for Mt Vernon who is at Highland.


NC Gets Win #30

Will Ballard went 3-3 and North Clay won their 30th game of the season pounding CHBC 22-0.  The Cards had 16 hits in the game.  Ballard and Brodie Adair each had 3 hits as well.  Cayden Craig drove in 3 runs.  The Cardinals are 30-4 as they finish the regular season today at Lake Land College against Pana.
