The regional assignments have been announced by the IHSA.
The Salem Lady Wildcats will play as part of the 2a Flora Regional. They will open up at Breese Central on Monday, May 18th in a play-in game. The winner will get 2nd seed Nashville in one semifinal with Mater Dei and Flora playing in the other game.
The Annies are the #2 seed in their 3a sectional as they will head to Marion for semifinal play against East St Louis. Marion takes on Carbondale in the other regional game.
Mt Vernon is the 5 seed and will go to Waterloo where their semifinal game will be against Mascoutah. Top seed Waterloo and Cahokia play in the other semifinal.
In 1a, Odin/Patoka/Sandoval will host Valmeyer in a play-in game for the Marissa regional with the winner getting Sparta. Carlyle plays in the other game against the hosts.
South Central will host regional play. North Clay hosts Wayne City in the play-in game with the winner getting Hutsonville. SC will open up with the winner of Red Hill and Cisne.
