Three people arrested over the weekend for domestic violence related incidents have all been ordered by Judge Wes Gozia to be held without bond pending further court action.

48-year-old Dennis Schuchmann of Irvington Street in Centralia was charged with felony violation of an order of protection for going to the place of employment of a protected person.   The Judge found Schuchmann poses a threat to the safety of the specific person and has failed to follow prior court orders.  He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on May 19th.

27-year-old Dakota Boyd of Logan Street in Mt. Vernon was ordered held in jail as his felony domestic battery case moves forward in court.  He was accused of grabbing the hair of the alleged victim.  The charge was a felony due to prior conviction for domestic battery.  Boyd was ordered held due to his history of domestic battery and already being on probation for felony domestic battery.  He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on May 19th.

31-year-old Taylor Schulz of Salem Mobile Home Park was charged with two felony and two misdemeanor domestic battery cases.   The felony charges were the result of Schulz having a prior domestic assault conviction in Tennessee as well as domestic battery convictions Marion and St. Clair Counties in Illinois.   He is currently on probation in Marion County. In the new charges, he’s accused of grabbing the victim by the face and hair.  The judge found there was no way to protect the victim without incarceration. He is also scheduled to be back in court for a preliminary hearing on May 19th.

All three had a public defender appointed to represent them.
