Lady Cats Beat Former Salem Great In Coaching Debut at Tully

Salem hosted former Lady Wildcat great Delaney Kell, who just finished her career at SEMO and is now coaching Odin/Patoka/Sandoval.  Salem came out on top 16-4.  Kenley Cripps hit her first varsity homer and drove in 3 runs.  Marah Johnson went 3-5 with a d boule and 4 RBI.  Taegan Lobek, Isabella Decker and Kendall Zimmermann each drove in 2 runs and Katee Sellers had 2 doubles going 4-4 with 3 runs scored at the top of the lineup.  Bella Pearce and Gwen Belcher doubled for OPS.  Pearce drove in 2 runs and Belcher added the other RBI.  Cripps was also the winning pitcher with a complete game 4-hitter.   Also congratulations to Salem’s Maci Susmena on her first varsity hit.  The Lady Wildcats softball team is at home today against Lawrenceville.


Wilkey’s  Big Day Lifts Lady Rams Over Massac County

Arwyn Wilkey went 4-4 as Mt Vernon beat Massaac Couty 8-3 on the road.  She homered and doubled as part of her big day.  Taylor DeSmith and Elaina Schulte also hit home runs.  DeSmith was the winning pitcher allowing 3 this and no earned runs in the complete game with 7 strikeouts.  Danicah Tobin also went 2-4 with an RBI and run scored.
