It was a great day again for the annual Terry Hearn Invitational held at Salem Community High School hosted by Franklin Park.  The Salem track team had a great day with 21 personal records set.  Winning their events for the boys were Tanner Purintun in the shot, Ben Lux the discus, Kayne Rhynes pole vault.  Also winning was the 4×100 team of Mickens, Lux, Horton and Washington.  Lady Bobcat Gracelynn Justin also won the discus.

 

Finishing 2nd for Salem were Lux in the shot, Purintun in the discus, Eli Purdy hurdles, 7th grade 4×200 team of Teriet, Owens, Kuhns and Carroll.  Lady Bobcats finishing 2nd were Amina Elkeshiry in the shot, Heaven Owens high jump and Breana Pennypacker discus.

Several Meet Records also fell.  On the boys side, Carriel broke the 6th grade 4×100 record in a time of 53.58 and the Fulton 4×400 team broke the record I a time of 3:53.2.

 

Girls records that fell included, Carriel’s Isabel Cotto ran 12.9 in the 8th grade 100, Mascoutah’s Aliya Barron ran 13.0 in the 7th grade 100 and Charlotte Hamsik 13.51 in the 6th grade 100.  All records.  Kyndadii Woodhouse of Carriel broke the 200m record in 27.31.  Also the Fulton 4×400 team ran 4:22.29.
