Quick’s Arm, Venturini’s Bat Leads Annies Past O’Fallon
The Annies improved to 11-2 as they beat O’Fallon 1-0. The game was scoreless until the 6th when Josie Venturini hit a sac-fly to score the games lone run. Mackenzie Perez had 2 Annies hits. That was enough for Emrie Quick who allowed 3 hits in her complete game shutout. Centralia is in South 7 play today at Carbondale.
Lady Eagles Fall To Dieterich
OPS fell to Dieterich 6-2. Bria Thompson drove in a run for the Lady Eagles and Gwen Belcher went 2-3. Chelsey Haines was the pitcher, she allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits in 6 innings. The OPS Lady Eagles will travel to Wayne City this afternoon.
Tobin Dominant In Lady Rams Win
Danicah Tobin struck out 15 batters allowing just 1 hit and one run over 7 innings as the Lady Rams earn a 3-1 win over Crab Orchard. Allie Sweeten went 3-3 for Mt Vernon and Paige Watson collected 2 hits. Mt Vernon will take on Woodlawn this afternoon.
Christ Our Rock Gets Easy Win Over Lady Flyers
Liv Torrence and Katie Oelze each had 3 hits, Torrence including a triple, as Christ Our Rock dismantled East St Louis 21-1. Peyton Jett struck out 10 and gave up 1 hit over 4 innings. Christ Our Rock will welcome Marquette Catholic today.
