Kaskaskia College honored several of its faculty and employees at its annual awards program on Thursday night at the main campus.
Breese Central High School Welding teacher Steven Ellis received the high school dual credit faculty award. Michelle Hill of the KC Dental Assisting Program received the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Member Award. Professor of Cosmetology Kelli Malone received the Outstanding Full Time Faculty member. The Gary Davis Ethical Leadership Award was presented to Professor of Criminal Justice Kenneth Ingersoll. The Horizon Faculty Award for an upcoming faculty member was presented to Cody Paul, who is Assistant Professor of Music. Stephanie Burgher, an Assistant Professor of Psychology, received the Assessment Award.
Employee Recognition Awards went to three employees and the Enrollment Team. Angela Gross of Student Services and Community Education Support Specialist was named Outstanding KC Part-time empoyee of the year. Micki Adams, enrollment specialist in student services Micki Adams was named Outstanding KC Full-Time Employee of the Year. WEI Director Charlee George received the Innovation Impact Award.
Two students were also honored. Clara Elliott won the Paul Simon Student Essay and the Gandhi/King Peace Student Essay Winner. Outgoing Student Trustee Meagan Mahlandt received the Gigi Campbell Student Trustee Excellence Award. The entire Enrollment Team won the Synergy Award for getting student enrolled and off to a good start at the college.
