Noah Nix, a recent Salem Community High School graduate and right-handed pitcher for Rend Lake College, has earned an invitation to join the Batavia Muckdogs for the upcoming season. The opportunity is invite-only.
Based in Batavia, New York, the Muckdogs compete in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, a wood-bat summer league that draws top college talent from across the country. The league is known as a proving ground for players looking to refine their skills against high-level competition, often in front of scouts.
For Nix, the move means spending the summer in New York, facing some of the best hitters in the region while continuing to build his pitching résumé.
