Lady Cats Pounds Wood River, Host Fairfield Today

The Lady Wildcats beat down Wood River on the road 16-2.  Morgan Honerkamp struck out 4 and allowed 3 hits in the win.  Jaelyn Keller went 3-3.  Emma Lipe and Honerkamp had 3 hits also.  Marah Johnson had 2 hits including a 3-run homer.  Alivia Rasul also had 2 hits along with Kendall Zimmermann.  Johnson drove in 5 and Sellers and Honerkamp added 2 RBI.  The Salem Lady Wildcats will be at Tully Park to take on Fairfield.


SC Routs St Elmo – Brownstown

South Central routed St Elmo/Brownstown 15-1 as the Lady Cougars put the game away with 7 runs in the sixth inning.  Lauren Johnson homered and drove in 3 runs, Kinlee Thompson and Emily Rose added doubles with Rose driving in 3 runs as well.  SC also got RBI from Annie Ruholl, Addy Ruholl, Thompson, Kyndle Bolen, Emmie Ruholl, Aubrey Sullens, and Perci Reid.  Johnson was the winning complete game pitcher scattering 7 hits and striking out 5.


OPS Falls To Woodlawn

Woodlawn beat OPS 14-8.  Gwen Belcher went 3-4 in the loss to lead OPS.  Kallee Johnson drove in 2 runs.  Bria Thompson and Belcher had 3 hits each.  Bella Pearce had 2 hits but took the loss for OPS in the circle.  The Lady Eagles take on Okawville today.


Mt Vernon Comes Back To Beat Carbondale

Despite trailing by as many as 5 runs, Mt Vernon rallied to beat Carbondale 9-7.  Carbondale led 7-2 before the Lady Rams scored 7 times in the bottom of the sixth.  The biggest blow in the inning was a Paige Watson 3-run double.  Danicah Tobin earned the win.  Taylor DeSmith and Tobin each had 2 hits.  Mt Vernon hosts DuQuoin today.


Annies Sweep Cahokia

The Annies swept their double header with Cahokia.  The Annies got 2 home runs and 5 RBI from Addisyn Dukes as they won 15-0.  Centralia scored 9 in the first inning to blow it open.  They added 4 more in the 2nd.  Dukes was also the winning pitcher throwing the 3 inning no hitter.

The Annies also won 16-0.  Dukes, Pyper Chapman and Mackenzie Perez combined for 5 of the teams 9 hits and combined to score 6 runs and drive in 7.  Dukes threw another 3 inning no hitter in this game.
