Salem Police say one person was injured in a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash in the 100 block of South Broadway at the Main Street intersection in downtown Salem early Saturday night.

Police report 47-year-old Teresa Taylor of North Dawley in Salem for an unknown reason didn’t stop for traffic at the signal light in front of her and crashed into the rear of another SUV driven by 24-year-old Brooke Hodge of South Wood in Odin.   The impact of the crash pushed the Hodge vehicle into a third SUV driven by 27-year-old Tanya McGibany of Country Club Road in Centralia.

Teresa Taylor was taken by United Medical Response to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.   A passenger in her SUV, 44-year-old Joseph Taylor also of North Dawley in Salem, received a scratch to his leg but did not require medical treatment.   The other two drivers were also checked along with a passenger in the McGibany vehicle, 26-year-old Mada Kurtz of the same address on Country Club Road in Centralia, but none required treatment.

The crash occurred at 6:24 Saturday night.
