The Lady Wildcats dropped a tough conference game at Breese Central 11-6. Morgan Honerkamp only allowed 2 earned runs. Jaelyn Keller kept up her hot hitting with 2 hits including her 5th homerun of the season. Emma Lipe added 2 hits. Marah Johnson, Kendall Zimmermann and Isabella Deecker had hits with Decer driving in 2. Keller, Lipe and Zimmermann added RBI. The Lady Wildcats softball team heads to Murphysboro.
Annabelle Garrett had 4 hits as Odin/Patoka/Sandoval lost to Sesser/Valier 12-5. Garrett doubled twice as part of her big day. Chelsey Haines threw the complete game for OPS with 5 strikeouts. Kenzi Wilkerson drove in 2 runs. Haines and Abigail Draper also had multi-hit games.
South Central shutout Dieterich 8-0. Maddie Peddicord threw the 1-hitter for the Lady Cougars with 12 strikeouts. At the plate, Kinlee Thompson had 2 hits with an RBI, Lauren Johnson doubled home a run, Emmie Ruholl also had 2 hits and an RBI. Zoey Feldhake and Perci Reid added SC RBI.
Mt Vernon lost to Marion 5-1. Danicah Tobin only allowed 1 earned run over her five innings of work and struck out 11. Lexxi Howard and Tobin had 2 hits and Emma Pinkston drove in the Lady Ram run. Mt Vernon will play at Highland today.
