Kinsley Hawthorne collected three hits in five at bats, as Centralia Annies defeated Salem 14-5 on Wednesday. Hawthorne hit a solo home run to left field in the third inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Centralia got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kaylee Bowdler grounded out, and Rorie Lambert singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Centralia added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Bowdler hit a sacrifice fly, and Hawthorne homered to left field, each scoring one run.

Four more Annies runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 8-0. Addisyn Dukes hit a solo home run to center field, Emrie Quick singled, scoring one run, and Bowdler singled, scoring two runs.

Jaelyn Keller hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fourth for the Salem.

Salem scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a home run to center field by Keller on an 0-2 count.

Quick earned the win for Centralia. The pitcher gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking three. Katee Sellers took the loss for Salem. The pitcher went two innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit, striking out none and walking one. Raylynn Parker appeared in relief for Centralia.

Centralia tallied 17 hits in the game. Bowdler provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Centralia Varsity Annies with five runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Hawthorne, Dukes, and Lambert each collected three hits for Centralia. Quick and Pyper Chapman each collected multiple hits. Bowdler and Quick each stole multiple bases. Centralia ran wild on the base paths, accumulating six stolen bases for the game.

Keller led Salem with three runs batted in. The third baseman went 3-for-3 on the day.
