Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Varsity Eagles couldn’t keep up with Beecher City and fell 9-3 on Tuesday.

Beecher City jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Isaac Wells doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Beecher City added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Kale Hardimon walked, and Wells doubled to center field, each scoring one run.

Kyan Walker began the game for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Varsity Eagles. The starter surrendered five hits and seven runs (six earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking four. Clive Schlanser started the game for Beecher City. The hurler allowed four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Drew Haines led Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Varsity Eagles with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Ben Spencer, Haines, Kody Burks, and Lance Nix each collected one hit for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Varsity Eagles. Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Varsity Eagles turned one double play in the game.

Wells provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Beecher City with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Connor Vaughn led Beecher City with three hits in three at bats. Schlanser collected two hits for Beecher City in three at bats. Hardimon paced Beecher City with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Schlanser stole three bases. Beecher City stole six bases in the game.
