The Jr Bulldogs answered when Jonny Gannaway doubled down the right field line, and Mason Karolewicz walked, each scoring a run. They would score 7 runs on 2 hits in the bottom of the 2nd to take a commanding lead and add another in the 3rd.
Freddie Jansen was the winning pitcher surrendering no hits and no earned runs over his 2 innings. Nicholi Marhanka pitched 4.2 effective relief for Salem. He allowed 3 hits and 2 earned runs with 3 strikeouts and didn’t walk anyone. Zane Applegate took the loss.
