Parrett Finishes 5th and Veach runs a PR at the Illinois Top Times Meet.
On her third throw, Freshman Emily Parrett got the distance she needed to get in the Top 8. Emily’s throw of 37-01.25 earned her a spot on the podium and a 5th place finish in 2A at the Illinois Top Times Meet.
Sophomore Carly Veach ran a PR of 9.70 in her heat of the 60 Meter Hurdles, and finished in 12th place overall. Four of the Top 8 runners were in her prelim heat.
Sophomore Silas Lux, who qualified for the Top Times Meet in the Boy’s Shot Put, was unable to compete on Saturday due to an ankle injury.
