The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF1 tornado touched down for just over four miles in eastern Clinton County during the Sunday evening severe weather.

The tornado track begins north of US 50 just east of the Boulder Road and continues in a northeast path to just west of the Wortman Road intersection with Diamond Springs Road.

The primary damage was to trees and outbuildings.

The tornado had an estimated speed of 90 miles per hour.  It was on the ground for about two minutes beginning at 6:29 Sunday evening.  The path was 4.18 miles long and just 50 yards wide.  It ended just west of the Marion County line.
