A 33-year-old Indianapolis man, formerly from Alma, was injured when his van ran off Kinoka Road Saturday morning and overturned on its side.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Joshua Daugherty was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries. He was not at the scene of the crash when deputies arrived, but later returned.
The crash occurred near the Baylis Road intersection. It brought down some power lines that were repaired by Tri-County Electric.
Daugherty was ticketed for illegal transportation of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash was reported at 4:55 Saturday morning.
