The Salem City Council Monday night will consider a fee on those using credit cards at the Salem Aquatic Center.

The issue was discussed at the budget work session last Monday where it was estimated credit card fees would cost the city about $4,000.  The city can charge a surcharge of up to 2.6-percent plus 15-cents per transaction to recover those fees.

The council will consider the purchase of a 2024 Ford F-150 Police Responder K-9 vehicle.  The cost would come from surplus funds in the current fiscal year budget.

The council will be asked to approve a $104,662 grant over the next five years from LE Bodycam to help cover the cost of purchasing the police department’s body cams.

An amended TIF Intergovernmental agreement will be considered with the Selmaville Grade School District.  It includes a letter of support for the new downtown TIF.  In exchange, the district will receive a $22,133 reimbursement as part of an earlier agreement to extend the TIF 2 grant in the Westside industrial area.

The meeting begins at six Monday night at Salem City Hall.
