A 29-year-old Kell man has been formally charged in Marion County Court with burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property at the Toad Alley Smoke Shop at 110 West Poplar in Odin early Wednesday morning.
Dillon Charlton of 6th Street was released on pretrial conditions which include not going to any head shop. He had a public defender appointed to represent him and is due back in court on March 26th for a preliminary hearing.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglar alarm going off at 3:06 Wednesday morning. When arriving, the front door had been damaged and entry had been made.
An investigation that included the cooperation of the owners and local cameras developed Charlton as the suspect. He was later taken into custody at his home.
