In 1a at Bunker Hill, top-seed Bluffs eliminated Carlyle 71-58. Alex Johnson led Carlyle with 22 and Meghan Edwards added 16. Okawville then beat Nokomis 46-29. Brynn Rhodes had 18 in the win.
At Wayne City, Brownstown/St Elmo continued their great season with a 46-25 win over Christopher. They will play for a sectional title against Edwards County who beat Sesser Valier 62-41.
In 2a at Chester, Breese Central advanced with a 70-35 win over Benton. They will take on the state’s best in top ranked and defending state champion Nashville who beat Massac County 54-26.
At Olney, Paris eliminated the hosts 54-45 and TTown earned a win over Mt Carmel 56-49.
In 3a at Waterloo, Glenwood knocked off Carbondale 48-33. Marion advanced to the finals with a 62-49 win over Quincy Notre Dame.
In 4a at Richwoods, Belleville East beat Alton 45-40. They advance to play the hosts in the finals after their win over Moline 62-49.
