The Centralia Orphan Annies jumped out to a 10-0 lead in its regional championship game at home on Thursday night, but by halftime, the state’s seventh-ranked Marion Wildcats had wiped out the lead with a 12-0 run of their own and eventually won the game 59 to 47. The contest was still a one-point game at the beginning of the third period before Marion went on a 20-13 run. The Annies came within six points again early in the 4th quarter. Sophomore Addi Dukes had 16 points and Kaylee Bowdler 13 for the Annies, who finish the year at 13-18. Marion improves to 13-4 and advances to sectional competition.
