Centralia comes back in the 4th quarter and overtime to beat Mt. Vernon and advance to play Marion in the Regional Final on Thursday night. The Annies pulled to a first quarter lead of 13-11 before being held scoreless in the second quarter and trailing at halftime 20-13. The Annies outscored Mt. Vernon 22 to 14 in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime, where they outscored Mt. Vernon 12 to 8. Centralia was led by Analyn Bass with 12 and Kaylee Bowdler with 11.
The Salem Lady Wildcats season came to an end in an overtime thriller won by the Fairfield Lady Mules by a score of 71 to 68 in the regional semifinals at Mt. Carmel. Salem had three players in double figures led by Jordan Kessler with22 points, Katie Sellers was also in double figures with 15 and round out the trio was Kale Benjamin with 14. Fairfield hit 12 three points and was led by Mabrey Foster’s 29 and Bentil Belva’s 20. Salem ends the season at 18-13.
