The Franklin Park Bobcats will open up the Class L State Basketball Tournament at Rend Lake College today when they take on Belleville Whiteside at 10:45. It’s the first state game for Salem since 2006. The winner will play on Tuesday against the Marion and Carterville winner that opens the day at 9:30.
Murphysboro and Mt Carmel will play at noon and Belleville West takes on Central Junior High at 1:15.
Then the Class S Tournament will finish up with Jasper and Ewing playing for 3rd place at 2:30 followed by the state title game at 4pm with Summersville taking on Bartelso.
Last night, Nashville won the Class M title beating NCOE 43-32. Pinckneyville beat Shiloh for 3rd place 46-36.
