A 34-year-old Flora woman has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court for possession of 15 to 100 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.
As part of the plea, two Class X charges pending against Brittani Workman-Rueger of West 8th were dropped for methamphetamine trafficking and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine between 100 and 400 grams. Another possession of methamphetamine charge for having possession of 100 to 400 grams was also dropped. All are tied to an arrest on November 16th, 2023.
Workman-Rueger will serve the time concurrently with five-year prison terms handed down earlier in Clay and Effingham Counties. When getting out of prison, Workman-Rueger will have to complete one year of mandatory supervised release. She was given credit for 78 days already served in prison.
