The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports all three occupants of two cars involved in a rear end crash in the 5700 block of U.S. 50 east of Salem were checked on the scene and refused hospital treatment.
Deputies report the crash occurred when an eastbound vehicle driven by 55-year-old Sherrie Robinson of Castleton Avenue in Mt. Vernon slowed to make a turn and was hit in the rear by 43-year-old Derek Hilderbrand of Louisville. 84-year-old Dora Duncan of Salem was a passenger in the Robinson vehicle. She was assisted out of the car by the Salem Fire Protection District that was called to the scene to assist.
The crash occurred at 6:47 Wednesday night.
