At the regular school board meeting on Tuesday, superintendent Christina Becker reported that total enrollment for Centralia City Schools is down to 1006 students including outplacements, with 974 district students. That number is down from past years, and Becker says the decline is partly due to the decreasing population of Centralia.

Also at the school board meeting, the board granted approval for Glass and Shuffett to conduct the annual audit at a cost not to exceed $16,400.

The board approved the hiring of Lucy Greathouse as an individual paraprofessional and approved four FMLA requests.
