The seeds have been released for the IHSA girls basketball post season.
The Salem Lady Wildcats are the 5th seed with their 16-11 record in the Olney Sectional complex. Mt Carmel is the 1 seed and a regional host along with Eldorado. Harrisburg, Olney and Fairfield are 2-3-4 with Flora 9th.
The other sub-sectional will have TTown and Paris the regional hosts with Effingham the 1 seed, TTown 2, St Anthony 5 and Vandalia 11.
The Chester Sectional complex is a gauntlet. Breese Central and Freeburg are regional hosts in one sub sectional with Nashville and Central 1-2, Mater Dei and Freeburg are 3-4.
Also in 2a, Gibault and Sandoval are the regional sites with Okawville the 1 seed, Carlyle 3, Sandoval 9. The winners advance to the Bunker Hill Sectional.
In 3a, Centralia is the 5 seed and regional host in their sub along with Carbondale. Marion is the top seed with Triad and Carbondale right behind and Mt Vernon 4. The winners advance to the Waterloo Sectional.
In 1a, the Wayne City Sectional will have Webber and North Clay as regional hosts. Brownstown/St Elmo earned the 1 seed with Woodlawn 3, North Clay 9 and South Central 11.
