The Illinois Department of Transportation is reporting all state highways and Interstates in Marion County are now clear of ice and snow.
Secondary roads are another story. After becoming slushy Tuesday when the sun helped thaw out the snow and ice cover, the 1 below temperature overnight caused them to freeze over and become extremely slick again.
So far, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department has not reported any crash reports.
A few schools remained out Wednesday, but most returned to in class learning today.
